Hey everyone! It's been a while, I know. Just wanna let you know that instead of uploading the pics to this site, I will be uploading them to my flick'r account. That is, unless you all create your own accounts and upload them yourself. It's free. It's easy...and you won't have to wait for me to get your pics up. Here's a link to my flick'r account, and as you will see...Sean and mom also have accounts (click on my contacts to view them). They are all connected.

P.S. There will be no "re-do's" like last time!

Dad and I just wanted to thank all of the North Carolina people - we had a wonderful time visiting all of you for Christmas. Thanks for all of the cool presents - my feet are warm, I can get a toothpick easily now, my toaster no longer catches on fire, i have warm flannel pajamas and i can play tetris no matter where I am. I even have a new song to listen to - thanks to Sean with all of his technical ability. Thank you Sarah and Blair for giving us your nice bed - katie for feeding 18 people at a time. It was great rebonding with the grandchildren. We love all of you very much.

The parts for 'We Are The World' have been chosen! Please practice, if possible and if you need to hear it, Sarah and I will give you a recording of it. --Katie

--Posted December 7, 2005--

David Responded: I think that the immediate family should record Bohemian Rhapsody and the extended family (including spouses and grandkids) should do We Are The World. That way everyone can be involved even if they can't sing. I mean We Are the World had Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson singing with Billy Joel and Cyndi Lauper.

Christmas Plans:
After some discussion today, Sarah and I decided that the secret santa gift "drop-off" will be at the Aitken house, and since Christmas dinner will be there, we can open our secret santa gifts on Christmas day. The secret santas will be revealed upon receipt of the gift.
Also, for Christmas Eve, appetizers and cocktails will be prepared at the Hart's and the Aitken's homes, and desserts and hot chocolate will be prepared at the Bisher's. Each one of these locations will be an 'open house' where everyone can make their rounds (can be a casual affair; different families at different times).
How does everyone want to do the recording? Have we decided on songs?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARYN!!!!

--Posted November 22. 2005--

Christmas is coming, and I have an idea for the site. If you don't want to send a letter to santa this year, you can post a collage of your wish list. you can get the pictures on Google Images. If everyone does this, we can make a collage of everyone's wish list. After Christmas, we can put a check on what we got. Good idea?

--Jono

note: for those of you who still want to send a letter to santa, you may still do that!

Hey! This is Sarah here. Since most of us will be in Raleigh this year for Christmas, I thought we could take advantage of this opportunity by recording a song. Everyone can record separately at Sean and Katie's house and we can use their wonderful recording equipment that makes everyone sound like a professional. Also, you can record by yourself so noone is self conscious. The kids can be involved too and each adult can add whatever they want to the song. Now, all we have to do is think of a great song. Judy has recommended "What the World needs now, is Love, Sweet Love," Caryn has recommended, "We are the World." Anyone else? It obviously doesn't have to be too serious. Lets make it fun!!! Email us with your ideas and we will vote! Katie@rositaverdita.com

--Posted October 2, 2005--

PLEASE REREAD!!! THE DETAILS HAVE CHANGED!!!

Hey Everyone!
Its getting to be that time of year to start thinking about Christmas shopping! We are assuming that it is ok with everyone to do the Secret Santa thing this year. So here is the deal: We are including everybody who will be in Raleigh around Christmas time: The Homets, the Harts, the Bishers, the Condons and the Aitkens. Mom & Dad do no wish to be included, since they want to buy us all gifts! I have left it up to Sean to pick the names for each person. Each adult will have one adult to buy for; each child will have one child to buy for; each dog will have one dog to buy for. A suggested price range is as follows: for adults $20; for kids $10; for dogs $5. I have no idea who Sean has picked for whom. So, it is a secret for me, too. He is writing the names on a little slip of paper for only the buyer's eyes (or other family members, if necessary) and we will be sending them in the mail tomorrow. Please send me your updated addresses at katie@rositaverdita.com so I can get them out ASAP! If you have any questions, send them to: secretsanta2005@condons.net.

Thanks!
Katie

This year, it looks like there will be a lot of us in North Carolina for Christmas!! So far, it will be Mom and Dad (am I right?), The Harts, David & Amy and kids, The Aitkens, The Bishers, and possibly The Homets. That's a lot of people if you think about it...David suggested that it might be a good idea to coordinate some kind of gift exchange. Drawing names, Secret Santa, or something like that? To those who have kids in school, which date would work best for you? We would rather have everyone involved in the trip. We chose September because it is drastically cheaper than August. The other option is possibly a resort such as Peppertree in Atlantic Beach. Throw us some dates and we will do the math and see what we can come up with. In any case, Jim, let us know when you will be around, we would love to see you. - David

--Posted March 29, 2005--

We're hoping to get back to the states at some point in the future - possibly Louisiana this summer. We had hoped to be part of an Emerald Isle family reunion/beach trip. I'm not so sure September is going to work for most families as our kids are in school during that time.... Guess you'd have to count us out as well as the Homet's - unless they take their kids out of school.... Jim

--Posted March 28, 2005--

In September Judy and I are interested in a family beach trip. We could rent two duplexes next to each other or one big house. I would assume price would be per family but we could split it by number of rooms. Whatever. I am hoping to keep it under $400 per family. We would like deposits from anyone interested just so there is a commitment to the trip. Probably the end of September, for one week, Emerald Isle. Anymore than that I don't know until we get number of people interested. Can't wait to see you guys at the end of April. Love, Amy

Blair got the job! The hiring manager called him one hour after the interview to let him know. They have also just bought a new house that they absolutely love!

--Posted January 30, 2005--

I am off to the store to get some hummus and a new garbage disposal. I knew those directions would come in handy. This weekend handy has been forcefully resuscitated from his winter slumber. The heat went out on Saturday (and it was muy frio en mi casa), then a fuse blew out the upstairs of the house and after arriving at church this morning a fuse blew out at the building with no spare fuses anywhere to be found. But we should not complain, the river near our house flooded and the water main burst so the High School and 80% of the houses on our street have pumps emptying their basements. Our house, as of yet, has had zero accumulation accept for the leak under our sink that I can't seem to get to stop. That Works For Me. - Handy (By the way if you have not yet seen my newest posting it is available here - http://www.condons.net/si/troubleshooting.html )

Job Update: Unfortunately, the hiring manager had to take her sick son to the doctor's today, so our interview was postponed to Monday, where we'll meet face to face. I was able to talk to her, momentarily, and she seemed really nice, and was very apologetic for having to miss the interview. So, Monday's for all the marbles, kids! I am feeling great about it, and regardless of what happens, we are so excited to be down in Raleigh for a week. Thanks for everyone's thoughts & prayers. ~ Blair

--Posted January 26, 2005--

Good news on the "Raleigh or Bust" front: I am having a phone interview on Friday, at 11 am, and then a face to face interview, with the same individual (the hiring manager), in Raleigh on Monday!! Please say a prayer if you remember, we are really hoping that this is it!! Sarah and I have the feeling that this could be a very life-altering week while we're in Raleigh. --Blair

We people on Shelter Island are snowed in too!  We got about two feet of snow - it will be a few days before we can dig out because of the blowing wind and the arctic temperatures. Click here to view some pictures of how it looked here this morning.

Brian left this morning (Sun) for New England. Our closing is this Friday (thank God!), but he left a bit early in case the pipes freeze. Pray for him to be safe on the roads. There are blizzard-force winds that are knocking trucks and vans over. (Luckily he took the Camry.) --Caryn

--Posted January 23, 2005--

Sorry that you are snowed in David. We have had a crazy week here. Wednesday brought snow and ice to the Triangle. The whole area went into gridlock. People were stuck on Capital Blvd for as much as 8 hours. I stayed at work that day until 8pm and it still took me 3 hours to get home. I had to actually ditch my truck and walk the last few miles down Durant road. I got to walk w/another fella who said he was on the road since 2:30pm when he left from Fuquay Varina. It was not a lot of snow and ice, but people just could not drive. It was terrible. Anyway, good luck to you guys and to you Boston folks. I see the storm is going to hit you today. I believe its a good day for you to stay in!! Good luck and god bless. --Ken. "In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

--Posted January 22, 2005--

If anyone would like to make a few bucks this weekend, drive up to Ithaca and bring a snow shovel. We be snowed in and we still have another 12-16 inches coming before morning. So, now would be a good time to start writing and contributing to the web site because we need something to keep us occupied so we do not get cabin fever.-- David

--Posted January 21, 2005--

Update on Blair's Job Sitch: I still have not heard anything about the job in Cary, but a contact I have who works in Cary doing what I applied for, informed me that there were some other (different) positions that just opened up in the Cary office. I have already spoken with my supervisor, submitted my application and resume to the recruiter, with my sup's comments attached. This definitely increases our chances to coming down to Raleigh soon. Please, everyone, keep praying, and we'll see what God opens up, and hopefully it's one of these 2 positions!! Love, Blair

They said that the next step is to call everyone "The 1st part of February". So, it is up to God know, as it has always been, and we'll see if he wants the Bisher's to remain in Boston or pack-up for Raleigh. Thank you for your emails & prayers, they really helped. ~ Blair

--Posted January 14, 2005--

Blair and Sarah would like everyone to pray for them at 3:30pm today...Blair will have his second phone interview, which will determine whether or not he gets flown to Raleigh by Nextel for an actual face-to-face interview. No pressure or anything, Blair but....Don't screw this one up!!! Just Kidding...you will do great! --Katie

--Posted January 10, 2005--

The interview with the hiring manager went really well. I'm not yet hired, but I didn't get fired, either! It was a phone interview, which was tricky, but I think it went really well. I really appreciate everyone's calls, emails, and prayers. At the end of the interview, he said that he decided I will receive a 2nd interview with another manager, and if I am the final candidate, they will fly me down for a final, face-to-face interview. So, we'll keep praying & trusting God, but this may be God answering Kenny's prayers for a golf partner!! --Blair

In the meantime, if anyone has performance pics, please send them to me. Btw--Sean is going to be playing on a TV program called, "Hardcore Live" on Tuesday night. It is on the Raleigh TV station...It is a live performance, so wish him luck! --Katie

--Posted December 10, 2004--

It was great seeing Brian post on the site - I'd love to see more input from the "in-laws". Would it be possible to have links to Sean's music site, to some of David's music and other Condon related music? We could also have all kinds of pics from performances - past and present. I think the music issue is key for our family and the website wouldn't be the same without it. --Jim

Hey, all you bubs! Are you still paying attention to nothing but the sites in the top? There is a Forum there called "Jono's Shout Out", if you haven't noticed! Its cool for kids AND adults, so submit some stuff to the current subjects at katie@rositaverdita.com , or try sending a new subject idea to nachoman_jono@hotmail.com . See ya for now! --Joe

Hey, go to Locky's Corner--she has posted a game for everyone to play!.

--Posted December 7, 2004 (in the wee hours of the morn)--

We had some requests from people to replace existing individual images in the spongebob picture. Though this is a lot of work and time, I will fulfill those requests as soon as I can. Right now, I have to call it a night, but do not fret. It will hopefully be finished by tomorrow. And by the way, in order to get Joey to send me a proper picture, I had to compromise. There will be a certain "dark figure" appearing in the picture tomorrow, because Joey would not let me put him in, unless I put the "dark figure" in, too. I strongly encourage you to email joey at nachoman__Jono@hotmail.com to inquire about why he wants the "dark figure" to appear with him in the photo.

If anyone is confused about the 'questions' section right now, you have reason to be....Caryn emailed me with a request to keep the questions 'seasonal'...so, since David sent me an idea for a seasonal question anyway, I just put that one up as the main question. I kept this weeks question available for answers, as well as the one that was scheduled for next week. Basically, everyone just answer any question that is up there that you want to answer and I will post your answer! --Katie

I need everyone to send in more ideas for 'questions.' --Katie

I agree.  Thank you Sean and Katie.  This is a lot of fun. I want to give some props to my wife.   I think the "Ask Judy" column is great.  Although we had one bad review on this about doggies,  I think we all know she does know her stuff.  So, I am giving a shout out to my wife for her  "expertise" on every day issues!! Also, Keep those recipes coming guys!! I Love You Judy!!--Ken.

There has been some confusion about the spelling of my daughters name. Her name is Le Quiche (pronounced Lakisha). I wouldn't mind so much but she is very sensitive about the subject.

I was looking at the new pictures posted and was shocked to see the one of Jim and Tina. Jimmy looks almost exactly like my brother Joe. I was wondering who he looked like. --Susan

Hey Ev! Check out Locky's Corner and Si's Reviews...There is new stuff on there. Also, I changed the format slightly on Soapbox so the most recent entries come first on the list (so you don't have to scroll down anymore). Don't worry, Sean says he's still working on the weblog for us to be able to post our own announcements, soapbox entries, etc. Here is his email address if anyone wants to nag him to hurry it up: saitken@nc.rr.com --Kate

Wow, I didn't realize y'all had this cute little web site until Sibert told me...Locky, you know you can't carry a tune in a bag!!...you know that I'm the performer of the family... But don't worry, you are good at lots of other things. Bless your little heart! Gotta go to work now! Bye y'all!--Keekee Nockadore

--Posted October 22, 2004--

duh, homey--my glasses only cost 99 cents in the dollar store. how much would it cost you to overnight them by UPS to me? You do the math. maybe Goth could use them-- being that it is dark in his box a lot.

I asked Lockatoo about when her birthday is--she said her mother, Kiki, said it was somewhere around August 11 to the 13th. But it may be in December. I think you should introduce Kiki to Forrest.

--Posted October 22, 2004--

I noticed everyone arguing about MY birthday and just to let you know, Mama Keekee never recorded my exact birthday.  She said it was around August 11th-15th.  So, who gives, that just makes my birthday more of a 4 day celebration.  She even tried to call me last night because brothy made her and I cussed her out (I called her stoopie).  P.S. Mad props to the fam for all calling me yesterday.   Every single sibling (including our brother in Japan) called before NOON.  Homey even called me like 4 times.  She's desperate for friends because her boyfriend's always busy with his gang.    Now, does everyone want to use this opportunity to like share some thoughts on how Sweet Baby Locky has impacted your life in a positive way?  - Locky

October 21st--HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!! 24 years old.

(Just ignore Lockatoo - she is trying to claim it is her birthday, too - but it is actually August 13th.)

Hot News Flash: Apparently Peter Ostrum of Charlie Bucket fame is a veterinarian in the nearby town of Homer, NY. If Bofadill our cat ever gets sick, it might be worth the drive to see if he still has the same groovy haircut and if he has gained any weight from his lifetime supply of chocolate. This could all be a rumor or a cruel joke, but Amy's friend from work swears its true. I will do more research and verify my sources.--Si

For those involved in the prospective mountain retreat getaway, Katie has been offered the use of a mountain cabin in the North Carolina mountains (Brevard)--for FREE! It is Mitch's parents' cabin and it has two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, plus a pull-out couch in the living area. He said it is absolutely beautiful, and we can stay any weekend we choose; just let him know ahead of time. So lets come up with a date that is convenient ASAP, ok?---Katie
